What is Mindful Travel?
Mindfulness is paying attention to our present-moment experiences with openness, curiosity, and a willingness to be with what is. To not be lost in the past or future, but to be present and less reactive. Practicing mindful travel allows us to really appreciate our experiences.
Traveling mindfully means focusing on self-care while on the move. Whether this means waking up early to watch a sunrise, joining a yoga retreat, or taking a day to just sleep in, it is important to be present within yourself while doing things that impact your wellness in a positive way.
Beyond personal care, travelling mindfully also includes the concept of travelling responsibly, always conscious of our precious environment. This might involve minimizing our ecological footprint by using low waste/no waste products, by supporting green tourism destinations, slow fashion, or simply by being aware of animal welfare.
